After successfully completing the 2024 & 2025 Spring Rallies; We are thrilled to participating in the “nearly” Spring Rally of 2026.
The Comradery, and Support of all participants uniting to raise funds for Cancer research whilst tackling some of Australia’s formidable outback roads has been an incredible experience; and we can’t wait to be undertaking the 2026 Challenge with circa 250 cars again. Amazing People, all with their own stories.
In 2024, after driving from Bendigo to Townsville, we donated our VW Polo Shitbox to the Charity auction. In 2025 we drove our New Ride a 1997 Mazda 323 from Melbourne to Alice Springs to the Gold Coast and back Melbourne and this will be our RIDE for the Challenge from Adelaide to Darwin on what will be an unforgettable 7-day adventure. ... And if all goes well, we will again drive back to Melbourne
However; It’s not just about the drive—it’s about making a real difference in the fight against cancer; and raising much needed funds. Each Challenge raises over $2.5m for Cancer Research.
Every participating team is required to raise a minimum of $5,000. Every dollar raised goes directly to Cancer Council and helps fund vital cancer research, which is why we’re doing everything we can to hit our $11,000 Target. Your support, whether big or small, will have a real impact.
We are very proud of having raised $9,476 in 2024 and $10,579 in 2025 and have raised the bar by setting this year’s Target at $11,000 >>>>. but we would like to beat it !
Appreciate your Support for this Worthy Cause

Ain't no Zoom Zoom are fundraising for Cancer Council
They're doing what!?
Shitbox Rally is a 7-day challenge like no other. Participants drive cars worth no more than $1,500 through some of Australia's most stunning (and often rugged) landscapes, all in support of cancer research. It's not a race — it's a challenge and more importantly, a celebration of the power of community.
Yes, the cars break down, and yes, there are plenty of unexpected twists along the way, but that's all part of the fun.
The rally is designed to be a colourful and unpredictable experience, where teams travel in small groups, helping each other along the way.
And when the day's drive ends, we gather around the campfire, share stories, and reflect on the day's achievements.
This event brings together people who have been impacted by cancer in different ways — whether it's through their own battles or through loved ones. Together we'll make memories that last a lifetime while supporting the fight against cancer.
Donate NowEvery rally. Every dollar.
Directly to Cancer Council.
Box Rallies is the largest funder of cancer research in Australia — outside of the government. Every dollar supports Cancer Council.
