We're thrilled to announce that we're taking part in Shitbox Rally 2026 - Spring! We’ll be hitting the road in our $1,500-or-less Shitbox, driving from Adelaide to Darwin on an unforgettable 7-day adventure. It’s not just about the drive—it’s about making a real difference in the fight against cancer.
Every participating team is required to raise a minimum of $5,000. Every dollar raised goes directly to Cancer Council and helps fund vital cancer research, which is why we’re doing everything we can to hit our goal. Your support, whether big or small, will have a real impact.
Why are we doing this -
We are raising money in honour of Marty’s father, who fought a courageous 10-year battle with cancer. He was a true gentleman, taken far too early.Watching someone you love battle cancer changes your life forever. To see a strong man slowly have everyday tasks become so difficult is something that stays with you. You help where you can, but cancer hits hard and affects everyone around it.
I truly believe that if the research and treatments available today had been around when he was fighting his battle, we may have had a few more precious years together. Every dollar raised goes toward giving the next son or daughter more time with their loved one — and most importantly, another step toward what we all hope for: a cure, or at least longer remission.
He was a man I am incredibly proud to call my father. To this day, my work ethic comes directly from him. Even while undergoing chemotherapy, he still turned up to work and remained fully present in our lives. I don’t completely understand how he did it — I was still a young adult at the time — but his strength continues to inspire me.
This is the least I can do in his memory. He is my hero, my role model, and the reason I give 200% to everything I do, every single day.

They're doing what!?
Shitbox Rally is a 7-day challenge like no other. Participants drive cars worth no more than $1,500 through some of Australia's most stunning (and often rugged) landscapes, all in support of cancer research. It's not a race — it's a challenge and more importantly, a celebration of the power of community.
Yes, the cars break down, and yes, there are plenty of unexpected twists along the way, but that's all part of the fun.
The rally is designed to be a colourful and unpredictable experience, where teams travel in small groups, helping each other along the way.
And when the day's drive ends, we gather around the campfire, share stories, and reflect on the day's achievements.
This event brings together people who have been impacted by cancer in different ways — whether it's through their own battles or through loved ones. Together we'll make memories that last a lifetime while supporting the fight against cancer.
Donate NowEvery rally. Every dollar.
Directly to Cancer Council.
Box Rallies is the largest funder of cancer research in Australia — outside of the government. Every dollar supports Cancer Council.
