Hello Shitbox Rally 2026!
This is something we’ve been itching to do for a long time, and honestly… why wait any longer? If there was ever a perfect moment to jump into a $1,500 nugget and drive it across the country, it’s now.
Cancer has touched our lives in a very real way. We’ve watched family members and close friends face different forms of this disease, and those moments stay with you. Taking part in the Shitbox Rally is our way of honouring them, backing the people still fighting, and helping fund the research that could change someone’s future.
And really - what better way to raise money for a cause that means so much, than by tackling a ridiculous, epic, week‑long challenge with your best mate? It’s the perfect blend of adventure, purpose, and a healthy dose of “surely this car will make it… right?"
This is where you come in.
Each team needs to raise a minimum of $5,000, and every single dollar goes straight to Cancer Council to support vital cancer research. Your support - big, small, or somewhere in between - genuinely makes a difference.
We’re also on the lookout for business sponsors to help get us over the line. If you’re keen to jump on board - whether that’s through a donation or by contributing a raffle prize - reach out to us on our Facebook page. We’d love to chat.
And as a little thank‑you, everyone who donates through our ‘wegive’ page and includes their name will have it proudly written on our car. Consider it your ticket to riding shotgun with us… minus the questionable suspension and dust.

They're doing what!?
Shitbox Rally is a 7-day challenge like no other. Participants drive cars worth no more than $1,500 through some of Australia's most stunning (and often rugged) landscapes, all in support of cancer research. It's not a race — it's a challenge and more importantly, a celebration of the power of community.
Yes, the cars break down, and yes, there are plenty of unexpected twists along the way, but that's all part of the fun.
The rally is designed to be a colourful and unpredictable experience, where teams travel in small groups, helping each other along the way.
And when the day's drive ends, we gather around the campfire, share stories, and reflect on the day's achievements.
This event brings together people who have been impacted by cancer in different ways — whether it's through their own battles or through loved ones. Together we'll make memories that last a lifetime while supporting the fight against cancer.
Donate NowEvery rally. Every dollar.
Directly to Cancer Council.
Box Rallies is the largest funder of cancer research in Australia — outside of the government. Every dollar supports Cancer Council.
